Another Spring, more Gardening

0

They thought it would never happen, but I’ve beaten the doubters and helped do a bit of gardening for two years in a row!!  The harsh winter seems to have managed to kill some of the plants, even those who my more informed Mrs tell me are ‘hardy’.  Or maybe it’s my less than skilled fingers which managed to kill em??

Anyway – the roses are doing nicely, as well as a plant I can only describe as.. the one which has taken over the corner with purpleish flowers on sticks.  That’s as close as I get to all this latin nonsense 🙂  Rather than tackle our enormous back garden (which still has the original roses and clematis thingy we planted when we first moved in), we are working on improving the front, which we see every day unlike the back, which I see once in a blue moon.

The front hedge has to go, so it’s had an attack of the electric trimmers, plus several coats of herbicide.. it will be my battle of the summer I’m sure.  Once gone we’ll replace it with something a bit less ‘keen’ at growing huge and fast, and maybe Mrs Krispy will be able to get more light in the front room for her sewing n hobbies.

Found at https://magsdirect.co.uk/ Married, one cat. Beer fanatic (wife probably says bore) - real ales and craft beers. I have spent for too much on home brew gear, I create full mash craft beers. I spend a lot of time either going to gigs or organising them - I'm part of a small bunch of friends putting on DIY Punk shows called "The Scary Clown Presents..." our website can be found here; https://thescaryclownpresents.co.uk/ Also a fan of the local footy team - UP THE POSH!
